ELECTRIC POLES ERECTED IN IKPETIM COMMUNITY

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Ibom Power Company Limited has embarked on planting of high tension and low tension electric poles for the improvement of power supply in Ikpetim, its immediate host community.
The Managing Director of Ibom power, Dr. Victor Udo disclosed this when he visited the Chairman of Ikpetim village council, Evangelist AsagusungUkpeyesterday.
The MD said, “The High Tension and Low Tension (HT/LT) poles were installed with conductors and insulators to improve power supply in the community”.
He saidthe purpose of the courtesy visit to the village council was to sustain the mutually beneficial relationship between Ibom and the host community stating that he came to keep the community abreast of the efforts the company has made towards community development.
‘Some indigenes of Ikpetim work with us, one of them was recently promoted to head community relations. We have people from Ikpetim on Industrial Training while over 40 Ikpetim youths are engaged as IPC/Community Traffic Wardens. This is in tandem with our other Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)’ he said.
